Our Team

Sandra Moneypenny began her career as a financial advisor in Palo Alto with the Lefcourt Group, a boutique financial services firm,  and earned her CFP® in 1983. This firm evolved into a partnership as Lefcourt, Golub, Baer and Moneypenny. In 1993, Sandra co-founded Wellspring Capital Management. Sandra is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) in the Silicon Valley chapter.

In 2003, Sandra was honored to be inducted as one of the first four advisors into the Brinker Capital Hall of Fame. In 2008, the Consumers’ Research Council of America honored Sandra as one of the nation’s Top Financial Planners. Also in 2008, Wellspring Capital was selected as one of The 10 Most Dependable™ Wealth Managers of Northern California and has been published in Forbes Magazine by Goldline Research. Sandra is an Elder at the Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley, CA. Sandra’s other passion in life is helping children who have significant learning differences. She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for The Greenwood School in Putney, Vermont. Greenwood School is one of the leading schools in the country for teaching boys (9-15) who have specific learning challenges.

Education credentials include earning a BA degree at Michigan State University and a MA degree from George Washington University. Sandra’s husband, Gerry, is a Registered Principal for Foothill Securities. Her eldest son is Zachary, who earned a BS in Graphic Arts from Dominican University of California and daughter Danielle earned a BS in Liberal Arts at Utah State University. Fun time is spent playing tennis, snow skiing, and walking Coco, our Chocolate Labrador Retriever.
